The clouds had a subtle lavender hue this morning, reflecting, perhaps, the color of the blossoms of the Hairy Vetch in the pasture. The grass has become so tall, the vetch has been nearly overwhelmed, climb upward though it might. And although we had no rain overnight, heavy dew collected like fat pearls on the leaves of the shrubby plant pictured above.
Critter note: The sleepy-looking fellow to the left is (I believe) a Gray Tree Frog that has found his way into our small greenhouse and onto a tomato plant. You can see the damage that insects have done to this plant, so we are quite happy to have a stealthy bug-hunter in residence. I hope he invites his family and friends in to join the feast.
