Since I was last here, Tulsa instituted a city-wide, civil liberties-limiting, non science-based "mask mandate." On my walk this morning, I was gratified to see that none of the walkers or dog-walkers were wearing masks - though the mandate does "allow" for mask-free exercising. (How generous of our benevolent Overlords!) Most of the stores and restaurants I walked past had signs on the doors stating that masks were mandatory. I'm only here a short while and won't be patronizing any establishments, but seeing those signs sure gets my dander up! I know they "have to" follow the Mayor and City Council's order if they want to remain open and attempt to keep their businesses on life support through this "health crisis," but there seems to be some legal wiggle room there for anyone who wants to challenge them. I hope to soon see more people acting less like subjects and more like citizens.
